How does one handle the grief that comes with loss is the subject of this video. We talk about grief that comes from many different sources such as divorce, losing a child, a spouse, a sibling and more.
If you think closely, you'll realize that that victory came with loss.
Perhaps it was the ballgame you just was lost, maybe it was that you had to change your thinking on something that meant a great deal to you.
Many of us don't deal with loss well. It's a fact of life.
The biggest challenge is not just handling yourself. It’s when you find yourself in the position of helping other people going through grief experienced from loss.
Interestingly, grief can be something as simple as your toddler running around the house looking for a blanket or a lost pacifier. Or maybe you're holding your daughter while you deal with the loss of a family pet. Perhaps it's you that was the junior high soccer player, and you lost the big game. Or, you're holding your mother while she grieves the sixty year lover that she just laid to rest.
Or perhaps it is you, standing there gazing into a hole that's just been filled with the body of your best friend and lover.
Dealing with grief often is not easy, of course, but I have had many people tell me, "I didn't know what to say!"
From my own experiences of losses, both the kind of losses that come from minor and normal way of living, such as losing a pet, to losing a spouse that was my best friend, I found many people
who came to me and said, "I didn't know what to say."
We are dedicated to helping those who are dealing with and assisting someone through the grieving process.
The book that I'm in the process of writing, that you are going to be watching for is called, "I Didn't Know What to Say".
It is dedicated to aid the caregivers of people who are going through loss.
